Let me be the first to say that your donations matter. It’s been nearly 6 weeks since hurricane Helene left damaging effects felt across various state lines. Saint Petersburg and the entirety of Tampa Bay were one of the many areas left in devastation. Then two weeks later, Milton hit, causing even more destruction. The media hype and coverage has long died down, but this city has been left to pick up the pieces, grasping at any means of normalcy.

The long term consequences of these back-to-back disasters are still unknown, but your generosity is undeniably a beacon of hope for this community. As of today, we have raised $2,280 from several, generous donors and have matched $2,000 worth of those donations totaling $4,280. 100% of this money goes to families, individuals, and small business owners who have been impacted by the hurricanes in St Pete and the rest of Tampa Bay. As of today, 3 families have received financial assistance for their greatest immediate needs, including tree removal services, covering the cost of small bills for those displaced, purchasing a child’s medication for a struggling mom, and even a $1,000 shopping spree for a family who lost everything in their flooded home.
Three more individuals have been approved for assistance. We will use $2,000 total to help address their immediate needs, helping to replace essential children’s clothing, securing nutritious food, and providing temporary housing support to ensure a family has a safe place to stay during this challenging time. This assistance aims not only to meet their urgent requirements but also to restore a sense of stability and comfort in their lives.
