VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES IN FLORIDA
The storm system that hit many parts of the country at the end of April has also impacted Pensacola, Florida with severe flooding. Nearly 25,000 homeowners were left without power in northern Florida, and abandoned cars dotted roadways as drivers were forced to evacuate to higher ground.
Samaritan’s Purse is recruiting volunteers of all skill levels to help homeowners deal with the water damage, remove wet insulation, and spray for mold. The team is based at Myrtle Grove Baptist Church in Pensacola (directions).
